About Nina

Having always enjoyed dance Nina finally “found” Arabic dance through festivals and made a true connection. She has trained in different styles of arabic dance including Middle Eastern, Egyptian and North African. Together with dance, she has developed her skills musically and has performed with an arabic percussion band.

Nina draws from her additional experience of bodywork and movement to develop safe and fun ways of dance.  She is a member of MADN (Mosaic Arabic Dance Network), fully insured, holds a PPL, first aid & adult teaching certificates, and is a massage therapist and healer.  She is currently training on a 3-year teacher training course with ASMED (Afra-al-Kahira School of Middle Eastern Dance).

More than just bellydancing! Nina teaches from complete beginners to performance level.  Nina is also available for performances either individually or with other dancers.  Associations with live drummers and percussion and other performers are also available.

Nina still attends regular workshops and studies for her continuous professional development.  She started with regular classes run by teacher Jacqui Jamal and has studied with a variety of UK and International Teachers such as Amel Tafsout, Aziza of Montreal, Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance, Dondi, Helene Stakem, Jillina of Bellydance Superstars, Khaled Mahmoud, Morocco "Aunt Rocky" of New York, Paulette Rees Denis of Gypsy Caravan, Princess Farhana, Vashti, Wendy Marlatt, Yasmina of Cairo and Yasmina Ramzy of Montreal.
